Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil  is made from young, mature coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) kernels that have undergone 12 months of pollination. It can be made mechanically or naturally, with or without the use of heat, and the nature of the oil is not changed in the process. Virgin coconut oil  is not chemically refined, bleached, or deodorized. Medium chain triglycerides, which are resistant to per-oxidation, make up the majority of virgin coconut oil.

Virgin coconut oil’s fatty acids are unique from those found in animal fats, which are mostly long-chain saturated fatty acids.  Virgin coconut oil has a natural coconut smell and is colorless and sediment-free and it has no taste or odor of rancidity. Virgin Coconut Oil is also rich in vitamin E, medium-chain fatty acids, particularly lauric acid, and antioxidants. About 50% of the virgin coconut oil is lauric acid, which aids in increasing immunity. Virgin coconut oil keeps its flavor and aroma of fresh coconut since it hasn’t been refined or subjected to high heat or solvents.
